For those that know the mommy mommy moment well I am indeed having to put that on hold till next year, I have dropped out of Chuckie, I have email Kristy and I heard from her this am she told me "there might be a re-open on March 15th, please tell my friends keep eye on the website" That is all. My injury was a fall on the butt that finally due to a x-ray showing not a stress, or hairline fracture, like 1st thought but a contusion, so with rest and pt I will be a good if not better lol. So you all trying to get the golden ticket keep your eye on the website.

More cycling advocacy stuff from Cascade Bike Club:
Two weeks ago, we watched as the Vulnerable Roadway User Bill died on the Senate calendar. Today, however, hope is alive. SB 5838 may be officially dead, but the law's language is being kept alive as an amendment to HB 3001.
Lawmakers from every corner of the state need to know you care about this issue.
Tomorrow at 5pm is the final cutoff in Olympia in this year's short legislative session. It's our last chance to pass HB 3001. Developed by the Bicycle Alliance of Washington, the bill expands bike and pedestrian safety education in traffic schools for bad drivers. It also includes our Vulnerable User Bill in an amendment.
Please call 1-800-562-6000 today. Ask your senator to vote for House Bill 3001. The bill passed overwhelmingly in the house - let's not let it die, too.
It's too late for an email. Please take a minute to call the legislative hotline and leave this message: "Senator, please support House Bill 3001 and the leadership amendment."
I called and left my support. It's easy to do.

Sorry Bob, I didn't get that memo. Ed, these are the ultralight version, I'm pretty sure they're only recommended for 160 lbs or less. But yes, a 10er'll fit. They are very comfortable, and blazing fast. Less than 500 miles, no crashes, dings or scratches. I'm just tired of the sew-up thing, although Matt got some really gorgeous straight and true new generation ones in Cd'A last year that are truly tempting..

Aw shucks, I never went to stretch night, but it was still pretty darn nice of Kristan to offer her time and skills to the DSR community. I just want to say "thank you, ma'm".

Free to good home: Racing flats, size men's 9. Too short for my toes. Stupid light -barely okay for a half, not enough for a full. I got 60 miles logged on 'em, still a few left I reckon. Ron: Maybe. Matt S: y'wanna set of spinergy 8-blade ultralight [yellows] 650 tubular racing wheels? They're that evil shimano 'tho. Fast, comfy, lighter than anything.

Many thanks to Kristan for the stretch sessions. I would have attended more if it hadn't conflicted with another class. Hopefully the next time you do these, it will be on a day and time that is more convenient for you!

Thanks Kristan for doing the stretch sessions. The ones I went to were fun and instructional. After getting up for Masters swim and then working all day I don't know how you did it! Last night I was to tired to make it. I'll keep working on those Killer Kristan Krunches.

Smelt Run Report? And for those wanting a little more distance in their races, who's up for the Honeywagon 1/2 Marathon this Saturday in Everson? There's a 4 mile run too. Race start is a lazy 10AM, so we can even sleep in! And it's only $10 with twice as many aid stations as Birch Bay for B*!

Apologies to anyone who came to stretch and left because I wasn't here yet. It has been very hard to get home in time for these sessions. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement, but I will no longer be holding these sessions. If interest returns next fall/winter, maybe I can start them up again then.

Georgia's first husband was napping at the Hotel Montana during the earthquake in Haiti. He had established a family planning clinic and provided pediatric medical care on a regular basis. His name is Frank Vaughters, His memorial service will be this week in Kansas City. We are all connected.

Yeah, I'm going to miss letting out a good yell going into AS2. My doc says it's compartment syndrome caused by my ankle being locked up caused by my mechanics being off caused by my broken toe caused by my kicking a tree root while running in my VFF's. Hopefully all will be better once I get mobility in my left ankle back. Hoping to be able to be there in a volunteer role though and would happily reciprocate any primeval yell heard from out on the course.

CHUCKANUT - Don't forget that there may be a few spots opening up if you missed getting in on Jan 9. I've just given Krissy my official withdrawal from this years race so one of those spots was mine. She says to check the registration page for more info about this as it would happen around March 1. As of now though there is no word. http://web.me.com/krissymoehl/Chuckanut_50k/Registration.html

Eddie Aikau was an Hawaiian surfer and lifeguard who would make daring rescues even when the waves were 30 feet high. A baseball analogy to "Eddie would go" is Ernie Banks saying "Lets play two" Eddie died at the age of 31. He was on a 2 hulledd canoe, with many others, trying to duplicate a tranoceanic trip when the vessel sprung a leak off the coast of Molokai. He paddled for help and his body was never recovered. Everybody who stayed with the canoe was rescued.
