Down Sound Racing Highlights

Tho me or Not Tho me

<<Chapeau>> a Anne et to Frazer and all the rest who contributed to the realization of this reasonably crazy idea.  A Anne, bienvenue au club.  To Thome, Happy Birthday, and, show 'em the afterburner at Nationals.

Frank looking quite smug, proud of his new hydrodynamic helmet and knowing he'll be the first back to the dock. None of you stand a chance, really.

Arlene sinking, but keeping that flute dry (on the outside, anyway)

Thome the center of attention

Revelers

Revelers wasted from, well, we'll say the swim over

Revelers recovering from the Frazer-led sprint to the cutoff point

Thome's above water smile

And his below water smile. Flash that smile at nationals as soon as some punk tries to snake your line to the buoy, then hit the afterburner...

Arlene, having just emptied the floating champagne bottle. You go, girl.

Kurt wins this plastic stemware balancing and leveling competition.

La vie est belle

It got wet.

It was supposed to get wet

Tho

me

Thome, we could tell it was you without you having to write your name on your shirt with a Sharpie. I mean, how much do you love yourself?

Warming up on shore

Frazer just not quite ready to trust that SPF 45 sunblock. You're right Frazer, you can never be TOO safe.

Les gourmands

Anne et Bob, two of our five headed to Nationals

Encore de gourmands

Le gateau

The crew in stealth mode, certain Thome (notorious for sleeping with one eye open) will discover them if they're not fully camouflaged. Yeah right.

Heidi is smiling just because she forgot her wetsuit and there isn't any other one for her to borrow. Isn't that right, Heidi?

But now Matt shows up and has a wetsuit for her to borrow. Notice she's not smiling any more.

I'm not eloquent enough to gracefully describe what Pam might be doing.

"...funny, they never gave me knives this sharp in the Corps..."

Anne not quite sure what to make of this random assortment of multisport athletes

Our esteemed organizer. Thanks Frazer.
